Just gotta say, I absolutely hate the Colosseum

I had a battle where IG90 was left alone against a temple guard and it probably carried on for around 2 minutes on auto until IG90 was defeated. 

The suggestion that the battle could last 4 hrs without a character being defeated is very far removed from my experience of the game mode. 

Plus, anyone letting a battle carry on for that long has only got themselves to blame.

This is a blanket statement that is not true. There is a little bit of strategy in approaching the different Coliseum bosses, especially now that the Era characters aren't gear 1 trash. Not much, but I actually would compare it somewhat to the old GC puzzle battles.

By that same token, they invested money and time in developing the Galactic Challenges. But they removed them, seemingly for no reason. The Coliseum and GCs could have ran side by side. You taking the position that you don’t find fault with it, as it takes little to no effort or time on your part, does not invalidate those that find it a bad mode or not enjoyable.  Unfortunately, it is here to stay. It isn’t what people were hoping for. This is a strategy management game, but none of that comes into play In Coliseum.

If it weren't for curiosity/proof to see how bad this update really was... it would have been in my best interest to quit the battle and just pay for another upgrade instead to leapfrog another player for the next reward tier--but if I leave too much time, they might do the same, and it becomes like a bidding war for that relic10 that is needed to remain competitive due to relic delta.  

Would it take more time if you could upgrade your toons to level 85 normally? Use existing mats for their abilities? Be able to add mods? That answer would be a big fat no.

Not the same thing. Conquest units can't be used for 3 months and then you can unlock them as far as you wish. You aren't mandated to use them every day for three months where you walk in, get kicked the jewels, and it's over. Well, unless you wanna spend hundreds to get far enough along.

Plus, they add to that you can't fully unlock the toon that they're required for until you get all those toons to era 85 which i imagine will be a whale or kraken exclusive bar.

I’ve actually been enjoying Coliseum since the last 5 days of having IG90. Since around that time, I’ve made a big improvement each time the next boss rolls around which has allowed me to add 3-4 levels to the era toons each day.

Choda’s arrival made the improvements even bigger and I’ve now reached t5 on everything but the AT-ST, but I’m sure I’ll complete t4 when it comes back this evening. 

I certainly didn’t feel like this throughout the entirety of the STL period and the first week of IG90. Improvements in those early days were so marginal it felt like I wasn’t making any progress at all. Hopefully CG will make adjustments so the early part of an era is much more engaging. 

I wouldn't say I hate Coliseum I find it just dull. Now what I do hate more is all the currency trash which has been rammed into the episode tracker line. Both F2P and paid tracker lines have been practically been stripped of useful character/mod materials and replaced with trash ERA Currency !

CG why have you added RD then removed more items to bottleneck Advancement from R7 to R9, whilst also still not providing enough opportunities to obtain materials to move from R5 to R6.

Its quite clear that Relic Delta sub bench mark is R5 now!
