Really lazy writing. Makes me sad.
They should have made this more personal/intimate show and forget all the shooting and chasing.
The entire inquisitor fortress was so dumb. Not believable at all. If they have no reason to protect the place "cos noone dares to attack", then why they had so many stormtrooppers and officers patrolling all the corridors and the hangar?
They had no knowledge of the place, yet they know there is an underwater secret entrance and some random console you can just sit in and control the entire fortress.
Not to mention Fallen Order already did this episode.- wildmannzSeasoned NewcomerI enjoyed it but the scene where they walked past all the Storm Troopers , security station et all with a unshaven dude in a trench coat with a big bulge on one side was ridiculous and unnecessary. They could have taken a duct or some other way to try and sneak to the ship.. which they seem to have lost the key for as they stood around looking like they didn't know what to do until the rebel speeder landed and managed to fit all 3 of them in the back.
- MasterSeedyNew AceI know that many did not like this episode and I agree that it has its problems, but to be perfectly honest I think this episode had the least problems of any so far. And the actor playing Leia is performing better -- not sure if that's a young actor learning her craft or the director(s) learning how best to play to her strengths, but her performance was the best she's given so far.
So... maybe things are getting better in a way that bodes well for the climax? - NotRealUltraSeasoned Newcomer

i don’t think this episode added anything to the series either
you can ignore episode 4 and you’ll be missing out on nothing (since it ends with where episode 3 basically ended status quo wise)
Not sure what this episode served - MasterSeedyNew AceThe primary purpose this episode served was giving Kenobi a crisis situation (the crack in the window, blaster fire from opposite ends of a corridor at least twice) that required him to reconnect more strongly with the force than he has yet.
Watching carefully, to me it seems clear that he's better with his lightsaber as the episode goes on. The breach in the window, for instance, was a successful deflection but with no ability to control. where the ricochet ended up. Later in the episode he deflects a bolt with enough precision to take out an enemy.
3rdSis would still have crushed him in a direct confrontation, so they needed an episode where Kenobi's skills advance without jumping from completely incompetent to taking out a skilled force-user.
I also think it's a nice touch that (however clumsily they handled the getaway) they're stating as fact that Leia and the others were allowed to get away so that they could be tracked. This interacts beautifully with Adult Leia's insistence that they're being tracked and were allowed to get away when they escape the Death Star.
Also note the transition for the network: they go from being an underground railroad, avoiding conflict, to "warriors" or "soldiers" (I forget what Kenobi called them). We're seeing people go from subverting Imperial rule to openly defying it. This is the birth of the Rebellion that we're witnessing, and it is most noticeable in this episode.
Again, I don't think anything (other than the visuals) in this series has been masterful. Nonetheless, I think the plot holes and problems in this episode were less than we've seen in previous episodes. Overall I think it's the best episode so far and does include quite interesting and important elements. - Calgacus66Rising NoviceI’m probably in a minority but I feel the problem with all the recent live action series is they’ve been too constrained by the original source material and have relied too much on callbacks and homage to/rehashes of old material. It’s all very well if the original source material includes a pile of untapped and richly told literature (like ‘Thrones or the Expanse) but all the best reboots have always taken the audience to new and interesting places (like Battlestar). I think the Disney team are trying way too hard to please the Star Wars fanbase (and we know that’s just impossible) instead of investing in some cracking new writing. Nostalgia is fine for an old codger like me but I don’t see it driving new audiences. Got to admit I look forward to new episodes of The Boys a lot more than Kenobi.
Sorry
