Kit Designer Appreciation Post

I just want to say thank you to all the people involved with making some of the best kits that SWGOH has to offer. This post was inspired by reading the new Cobb Vanth character kit, specifically his High Noon ability. I notice that the kit designers for this game are able to represent ideas and themes unlike any other form of "art". It might be too much glazing but I do believe that some kits can be interpreted as an art piece of its own, like a sketch or a representation of a person's identity. I can only imagine that's one reason why fan kits are so huge. Anyways, the High Noon ability really represented a 1 on 1 duel well, as well as his Deputize ability. I can really picture all of the life on Tattooine unifying under Cobb's protection against the Outlaws.

Of course, Cobb's kit isn't the first interesting one. I think I really fell in love with first was General Skywalker's team, having all of the boys in blue, with GAS leading the front, fighting alongside his brothers. And then having the reverse of that with Lord Vader's new team. They lose the color coordination for the sake of better overall Clone Trooper representation during Order 66.

And sure, not all of the kits are winners, you're bound to have a few stinkers in order to make the better ones shine more. I just hope the kit designers are being treated well over there, and they deserve to be really proud of Cobb's kit.

And if you're reading this, do you have a favorite kit, and why?

This literally needs to be marked as the answer.  Zanir Nailed it.

If High Noon can kill Nest on Vandor it sounds like a winner to me.

You don't have to digest the kit today. You have until June 22nd.

    The gist:

    1) Cobb, Lobot and CUP seem like the core 3 of the team

    2) in 5v5 GAC, bring 2 Jawas

    3) in TW, bring two Tuskens

    4) in TB, use the Constable team on Neutral planets

    5) use the High Noons special on a different enemy each time to unlock the instakill effect

EDIT: I think that in 3v3, assuming you have the omicron and want to use Cobb to counter Jabba, the team will be Cobb, CUP, Nebit. Nebit Taunting on his 1st turn should unlock Deputize for him on his 2nd turn, which will enable passive thermal detonators for your team, and a Jawa on the team will disable Hutt Cartel's detonators, which is a big nerf for the Jabba team.

  • I beg to differ. Cobb Vanth feels like a messy melting pot of effects and ideas and a billion interactions, it’s too much

  • I’m loving the addition of Cobb into the game.  Loved his character in the books and was happy to see him live, played by Tim Oliphant in Mando and Book of Boba Fett.  I hope they do a Deadwood tribute and add the Weequay Bartender.
