I'm not duobting that Rey can fight. I just don't think she should have been able to beat somebody that was trained by Luke and was strong enough to slaughter Luke's entire Jedi academy. And the staff doesn't explain why she was able to use the Jedi mind trick, which is an advanced ability that trained Jedi struggled with, or why she was able to fly the Falcon so well with no prior flying experience.
