A small request regarding raid currency and relic mats

MK3 rarely used for K2 players? Wut? You wot mate? Say what? What was that? 

Relic economy changes is definitely the best piece of the anniversary update, and the only part of it that seems to be bug-free and just generally has no meaningful drawback. 

Going back to spreading mk3 between Gyrdas, Aeromags, Impulse Detectors, Zinbiddles, and Electriums? Emphatically no. 

I said both options. As for MK3, yeah I don't know what you use them for, I am always maxed out there. Besides the occasional zeta, I just never use them. I've got r8 mat through the roof with years of tw. And I rarely take characters to r9 if they're not needed for a gl. I just don't get how you can keep up with G13 gear otherwise. but okay, maybe it's just me. Would be nice if both options were available. As in MK2 and MK3 for those 2 mats.

I don't get this. Zinbiddles need only 1k Mk2 currency to get something to r7. Add 3k for the ECs and that's 4k total for all the high end mats necessary to take one toon from r5 => r7. That's not that much, and you still have the Scavenger. 

Meanwhile, the new marquee system should allow you to bypass the vast majority of Kyros and (depending on how much you engage with it) some amount of g12 gear as well. 

I think you should let the first cycle or two play out so that you can see how much your need for g12 gear is reduced (if at all) through levelling your era toons. Meanwhile, the long, long gap before needing to spend g12 gear on new toons created by the transition to the Coliseum system should actually provide you some temporary easing of your g12 needs. Take advantage of that and worry about the g12/Zinbiddle conflict after you've figured out how much the new system reduces g12 requirements? 

You might be right. I was looking at it through the prospective of the past few weeks since the change. Lemme give you an example, I am gearing up scorch to G13 for the raid, and relic'ing up traya and co to r7 from R5 at the same time, which coliseum makes possible. Before when the 2 mats were available for MK3 currency, I was able to keep up with them easy, and get the g12 to 13 gear woth MK2 at the same time. I can't do that anymore. That's what I meant by it's relic or gear, not both. 

As for MK3 right now, I have absolutely 0 use for them except the zeta. Pretty pricey for a single zeta, but I have nothing else that I can buy with that currency. well I could buy the r8 and 9 mats, but for small spenders, r8+ are pretty useless on most characters (except for the likes of bane, Ezra, requirements for GLs, etc..)

And 4k MK2 for a single R5 to r7? That's dozens of g12 gear. Meanwhile MK3 is sitting at 17k for nothing. Look I would like is that those 2 mats were available against MK2 currency and MK3. I get that some players use MK3 for r8+, but most don't. I mean r7 is where it's at for me. The EC are painful, 3k currency is lots, and to get them from that scrapper (whatever it's called) takes g12 gear... Anyway, it is how it is. Was just wondering is all 

Wow. You are so polite. I’ve only suffered 4 years of their baloney, but it took much less than that to see they do not care about anything that doesn’t affect their bottom line. Definitely agree with you, though, and this crap is killing my guild.

So you rarely engage with relic levels above R7. Well, that explains a lot. All of it, really. 

I've built R8/9 relic for the raid, for ROTE platoons, for utility, for fun. My latest R9 is GLAT (done yesterday). The Stranger (unlock on Jan 5th) will be my next R8. 

If you are minimalist who only makes R8s or R9s if there's a Journey Guide requirement, I'm not surprised you never need mk3 raid tokens. As for gear, I have 7 toons left in my roster below G13 and one of them will have a dedicated LST in 2026, so I only need to gear up 6 of them and then I have no gear backlog forever. Anything else that comes out will be G13 the moment it hits my roster.
