A lot of "it's not a problem for me" responses, but the truth is that if you total up the rate which you gather kyros ( can't count challenge tier of assault battles since many mid or early game players can't win there). You really aren't able to keep up with the number needed for new toons. Just do the math. 3 per day=90. I needed 200 for one toon on gear 8. Plus there are another 20 toons that light up when I have 100 ready. I could easily use 500 per month and maybe get caught up in a year. Seriously. Is just math.
There are so many more sources than the 3/day you're talking about. TB has bonus gyros on the bonus planets. You can farm them with regular energy on DS or LS nodes, depending on which you want. Then there are some available for your currencies. 1 week's worth of Fleet Arena crystals will get you 200 Kyros.
Really, if you make Kyros your priority, you can make progress. It's not a lie, it's not a con. It just takes focus.
