Yes, some type of formal announcement would be nice along with an explanation. We received help in finishing our first; in turn I paid it forward to help another guild get over the hump. The devs need to consider that most guilds want to do it themselves and only call in help because of the resources, time, and morale that would be lost. The tank has destroyed many guilds. When I hopped to help it had nothing to do with rewards, and I would gladly do it again even if it meant no rewards, but due to this change I would not even be allowed to participate.
