I'm going to post the same thing others have. Revert what you did to dagger. It's not stopping execs and makes Levi mirrors effing stupid! Go first? No? Retreat. Ships was already an RNG crap show.... delete p1 or delete your horrible "fix" to dagger.
How about actually testing something before releasing it? Way to screw up the entire fleet system for everyone. How you all have jobs still is amazing
Seconded. P1 was never the problem. At GA you didnt want to place Sith Fighter at defense since Dagger was already better. This just ruins Fleet arena
The coin flip meta is not only punishing (unnecessarily) but super boring.
The “guaranteed” counter is awful, and times out more often than not.
It took me 12 battles to climb to first today. I was at 9 to start. 12 battles to win two. How is this anywhere in the realm as the “same win rate” as the Sith Fighter mirrors before the change?
The game sucks more and more…. This Dagger update completely sucks!!! 4 or 5 minute battles forced every day, 3 or 4 times a day for what? To maintain what we had!! This is the crap that’s really pushing me away from the game.
This has nothing to do with "knowing kits". It's garbage timeout mechanics. This needs to be changed. It's pure garbage lazy development as usual just to get something out.
CG needs to fix this! It is complete garbage. The time outs are horrible and the whole thing is a massive disaster that keeps getting worse.
Yesterday, I fortunately only had to do 1 fight in FA. I won the coin toss, it almost ended in a time out. My payout today just ended, like, literally just now. I beat 2 Execs and got 3rd place, then I had to restart 4 times (yes, I had to spend crystals on refreshes), not once did I manage to win the coin-toss and the battle as a whole. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't close to breaking down in TEARS toward the end. I can hardly wait to see what kind of a nightmare GAC will be.
Going to repeat what I said in another thread. You just have to know the kits. The other side can't gain TM if you use your Dorito, and they can't reach Ult if you have TenacityUP because they have to inflict 15 debuffs to use Sabotage Hangars and they have to use SH before they are eligible for the Ult.
Start TIE Dagger, Fury Interceptor, Mk6 Interceptor.
DO NOT use TIE Dagger's AoE until you have TenUP. Just start with a basic.
Mk6 first turn use 3rd ability, which grants TenUP. Now the enemy can't land debuffs and can't progress toward Sabotage the Hangars.
Use Fury's mass assist to make sure that Mk6 gains 10 stacks (using a basic while under 10 stacks, which the Mk6 will be b/c using the 3rd ability costs 3 stacks and you only started with 10).
On your next Mk6 turn use the first special, which will give you another 10 stacks.
Focus on the enemy tank. Your progress will always be faster than the enemy's progress. Use your Ult when it's available. Press auto. Win.
I didn't come up with this strategy, but you can read the kits for yourselves: it's well designed and it has worked every time for me so far. You'll be playing the battle manually for 2-3 minutes and then putting it on auto for the rest. It's no worse than other battles that you play manually for 2-3 minutes. In fact it's probably easier since the only strategy is keeping Mk6 alive and using TenUP when you have it (oh, and not using the Dagger AoE or Fury's mass assist when you don't). You don't even have to kill anything, just reach ult and then press one button and set your device down while you go make some tea.

Timing out has not yet happened to me, though I agree that's a potential downfall.
What are you bringing in as reinforcements? Perhaps that has an effect?
Even if you start second and use ultimate first, you still have high chance to finish in draw, it is all beautiful how you describe that battle, it is so easy for you huh?
Enemy Mark of course will get in battle second, if he targets your sith fighter you probably (99%) are done, so don't defend devs for this stupid buff that was no need for!
As I said, I have yet to finish in a draw. YMMV, but I am not having any problems with mirrors.
I'll try that strategy today during my payout hour. Hopefully it doesn't end in a draw.
That aside, I don't think players are upset that they have to use a new starting line-up or get used to a new strategy, I think it's the issues that come with that specific strategy that is frustrating. In this case:
Yeah, these are excellent criticisms if you find yourself in an active fleet shard with several people sharing a payout hour.
I am fortunate enough to have an old but lazy fleet shard. I never fall as far as 25 and it's honestly rare that I fall further than 11th or 12th. Having relatively few active players minimizes the risks of this strategy for me in a way that it might not for others.
If only CG had a way to do thorough testing of these new additions to the game before they were actually released....
But, they aren't prioritizing quality, only quantity. Quantity makes money, quality doesn't I guess. So sayeth the accountants?

I haven't tried it yet, but if you running a true mirror, and you lose the coin flip, I think your only chance would be to have phantom come out first so Mark 6 can come out right after and nuke dagger. However, every mirror I have run so far involves enemy Levi going for the hangers before bringing in a reinforcement. I have serious doubts that you will be able to bring in two reinforcements, then destroy hangers and then hit ultimate before enemy Levi hits ultimate. Sacrificing reaper does absolutely nothing, you are just running behind the entire time.
It's not just the leviathan, Punishing one is also screwed up because they didn't use any common sense when they implemented it. If you have the stronger P1, you are going to get smashed by the weaker P1. We've been talking about that since it came out and CG does NOTHING about it.
They hated weak zombie, but they gave us a ship that's a weak zombie and don't seem to be bothered by that either.
They want us to spend money, but then they punish us (no pun intended) for maxing out ships by breaking fleets in multiple ways. It would be great if they actually communicated, but they don't seem to care to want to. All they communicate with us about is "hey, here's a new shiny that's going to make your entire roster useless if you don't have it!" (It might be buggy, but don't worry, we'll fix that by 2030.)
