Exactly. If you got 7* day 1, you bought 5 packs to do so. If you waited until the refresh, you got an extra free attempt plus only needed 4 refreshes.

1250x5 - 999x4 = 2,254, which is the amount of the reimbursement. It doesn't take into account any shard store currency the day 1 people got, but oh well I guess.
