So any guesstimates as to when the Event will begin? You think immediately after Conquest ends? Think it will run for a week or just one day? Trying to figure out if I'll make it in time....fingers c...

That's not how the Conquest character/ship works. Anyone who red crated all 3 will have the ship. I think if you buy the pass you can red crate twice and gold crate once, but that is far from forcing anyone to buy the pass for this. All they have to do is have the first run be before the next Conquest ends, which is in just over a month.
Wouldn't they have to run it before the next conquest starts since the ship should be available in the conquest store when it does?
I don't think so? But not sure how shards with the pass works. You would only be able to buy 20 shards, not sure what combination of pass and crates has to happen to be 20 shards or fewer short after 3 Conquests.
3 Conquest passes + 3 gold crates and I will be exactly 20 shards short of unlock on Monday when this cycle closes.
I'm fairly certain you would end at 14 shards short of unlock if you get the Conquest pass and clear the first two rewards after gold crate but before red crate (578 burritos in total).
Ah, thanks. So they would need to do it prior to start, though they may not care that paying players get a little extra time.
