Thank goodness they really took their time with the Levi release letting us wait for so long to make sure that it's a propperly tested and functioning fleet.
Oh wait...
It is being properly tested.
Just not by CG.- KDC99-X2 years agoSeasoned AceI'd like to take this time to reassert, that it would be a brilliant move on CG's part to acknowledge that units are being released in a "beta" condition, and they're relying on community feedback to finish fixing/tuning them, and them provide the community some sort of goodwill gesture (crystals/gear/mats), in exchange for providing them wit this service. Or at very least, to the people who have Leviathan unlocked so far. It would really be a good look for them.
- wharp952 years agoSeasoned VeteranIt was tested by V&V not gamer, spec says:
- Beat Profundity ✓
- Beat Executor ✓
No specs about getting beat the crap out by other CS, didn't care.
All specs good !
Approved ! - corncobmandhwo2 years agoNew HotshotInteresting that everyone is complaining about that the ship can be beaten on D? So what would be a legit counter? Something like Home1 (triple attacker) or Finalizer vs Executor? Malevolence or Executrix vs. Profundity?
Shall it just be mirrors maintaining the current state where you depend on a coin flip? In case of a mirror you know within the first second whether you win or loose/time out. I think this is the real issue. On offense, an R7 Leviathan easily wins vs Prof or Exec. - ccabezas932 years agoNew ScoutMark VI should be able to annihilate a ship from the start and not have to wait until 2nd reinforcement to do it. It is not like you are gonna get those 40 stacks so quickly and the offense of the team is so low you have to wait for this ship to defeat the first one.
Another idea would be to change the 15% to 50% IMO of the Heavy seeker ability of the fury-class. With a R9 Malgus you do 17k, that’s nothing. - drathuk9162 years agoSeasoned Ace

It shouldn’t lose to holdo or finalizer in one, using both to defeat it is fine. I really don’t care if it loses to both executor and profundity on defense though ideally one or both should be a soft counter. - ccmoose2 years agoSeasoned Ace

Came here to note I’m feeling the double sting on this. Lack of advertised performance level and obvious refresh scam costing myself and many others 2,254 unnecessary crystals. Shame on you CG for not testing your game and not clearly communicating event duration and refresh options. Refunding the crystal difference at a minimum would be the right thing to do.
I'm with Bin regarding this point! We all went ham on refreshes and bought the "required" 5 packs at 1250 crystals not expecting it to refresh overnight. Wasted an extra 999 refresh which was given free then since the 19 attempts get returned as well, there was no point to spend the extra 251 crystals x 5 on the packs. Those who acquire before the refresh should at least get that wasted 2254 crystals back!
Why? Why should you get back crystals that you spent because you weren't paying attention to the cooldown timer? That's on you, not CG. CG should be spending their time fixing Leviathan, not pandering to players who weren't paying attention.
How did you know the attempts would refresh overnight? I thought they must have set the event timer to 12 hours by mistake. I suppose maybe the event timer (one page up?) showed a different end date than the refresh timer? Is that something players should be expected to spot check all the time now?
Do we deserve compensation? No
Am I upset about wasting 2k crystals? Very little
Is this really the type of thing I want CG to make a habit of doing? Very much not

Because CG said, "THIS SHIP WILL BE META DEFINING". They lied. They also said, "Hurry up and max crate Conquest or you'll miss out!" They lied. "This ship will execute profundity and executor!" Partial truth. It can beat both, sure. But multiple fleets can beat Leviathan on day one, including HOLDO's Fleet. I'm pretty sure holdo's fleet isn't meta.
They didn't test this fleet or this ship. They released it with at least 4 different types of bugs. (Ahnald talked about them in his video today) They sold us a bill of goods to get people to burn resources and money on this fleet. They. Lied. Again. They can't play the doodie of "there are sooooo many characters and meta teams we can't test them all against this new character!" There are only 10 other capital ships. That would've taken about an hour to run through even for one person.
Sure, they've made fixes to other units after release and they've done buffs for some characters. But when Jabba was released and players had him at R7/8, his team wasn't beaten by Jawas, Phoenix, and Sana Starros which is pretty much the equivalent of Holdo beating Leviathan as easily as it can.
CG needs to fix this crap and they need to bring back their player beta tester program because this is unacceptable. Especially for the amount of money players have spent on getting Leviathan to 7*.
I forgot to add, the mirror match is Full CG RNG. If your capital ship goes first, you win. If the AI capital ship goes first, the AI wins. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb. - feel like I wasted 25K crystals that could have been put towards Cal or Leia - This is just he case of a SW Program manager, a test term and QC team that are not good at what they do.
- hsv2162 years agoNew HotshotStill no comment from CG, that this is not working as intended? Have seen they are looking at "bugs" but really not addressing the community concerns at the moment. I feel that some of those bugs are actually nerfing Leviathan, but have not had enough coffee to fully understand the bugs.
Not sure how they are expecting people to buy those packs in store, when hopefully those that are contemplating will know what a let down this ship is.
Oh well, guess this new shiny 7* ship will sit on the sidelines.
