So true. Like all the best fleets are dark side. Executor, Leviathan and Malevolence. Even Tarkin and Chimera are kinda meta with their imp fleet and Finalizer can be an off-meta counter to some of the bigger fleets. What does light side have? Primarily just Profundity and Negotiator. Endurance is currently an off meta counter to Levi, so that’s good, but other than those three fleets, light side just doesn’t stack up to the dark side fleets. And Endurance even pulls tools away from Negotiator. Raddus is just ok at best, even with Zori and Home One is almost completely useless, definitely the worst capital ship in the game. And now there’s rumor of a new pirate fleet coming up that will more than likely be dark side. Light side ships do need a little bit of love, I totally agree. A certain X-Wing flown by Luke Skywalker comes to mind? But idk, we’ll have to see how fleets shape up for the game.

tl;dr 2 of the top 4 fleets are LS

Malevolence isn't anywhere close to being the 3rd best fleet.

Leviathan is the best all around (beats everything with high win rates, requires a powerful fleet to counter it on def).

Executor is 2nd best (equal with Profundity without P1, P1 clearly pushes it into 2nd place), also the easiest to acquire among the GL fleets.

Profundity is 3rd best. It's still a powerful fleet, but it lost a lot of ground since the arrival of P1. It's inferior to Executor. Can beat Leviathan if you use Mk6 with it (this requires some favorable RNG and for Lev to not call Scimitar to assist because the strategy is an edge-of-the-knife ult race).

GR with Marauder (Nego or Endurance based on what you're facing) is a great offensive tool. Can beat P1 Executor.

Things become less clear now, it's kind of more of a rock-paper-scissors situation between some of the remaining fleets.

  • I will say that Chimaera with Interceptor comfortably beats Nego, even without Scythe. I’d put it above Nego

  • LS Fleets could really be bulked up with some ships to fill them out

    Profundity:
    A-Wing (Crewless)

    HomeOne:
    Luke's X-Wing  (Farmboy)
    B-Wing  (Crewless)

    Negotiator:
    ETA-2  (Aayla)
    Jedi Delta (GM-Yoda)

    Endurance:
    ARC-170  (Arc Trooper)
    Nu Shuttle  (Cody)
    Torrent  (Crewless)

Yeah I should have worded my initial reply better. I am well aware that Malevolence is not the third best fleet in the game. That most definitely goes to Profundity. But my point was that the LS ships are just simply not as good as the DS. Like you said Profundity has become much less effective since the release of Punishing One and buff to Leviathan. Yes the Republic fleet can make something happen and be an off-meta counter to some of these fleets. But what would you rather invest in? A bunch of galactic republic or rebel ships that take a while? Or a bunch of bounty hunter/empire ships that take a while? For me it’s easily the latter. There’s so much more bang for your buck with Executor than Profundity, plus it’s easier to obtain. And even with an early game empire fleet you can climb to top 50 in fleet arena fairly easily.

All I’m saying is LS fleets need a little love and for goodness sake CG, put Red Five in the game. There is no reason that this ship should still not be in the game and both Home One and Profundity could use the buff.
