I think it would be cool if they did a brand new table. Every month would be a new strong character. ie (month 1: Nihilus, month 2: Jango, etc). My idea would be f2p 7* by the end of the month building in difficulty until your average lvl 85 account can get a full 7*. BUT if you wanted to spend money you could get it much sooner with some sort of currency (gems, AP, w/e). It could be handled like Emperor or Yoda in that then next time that character comes around you carry on from where you left off, but the table is there all the time with one character or another.
My choices of characters to include would be:
Nihilus
Jango
Thrawn
Bossk
Embo
Jabba (lol, this would be strange to implement)
Ki Adi Mundi

Oh and 1 million credits for every fight.

Looks like the new model for introducing toons is to drop a low star level toon on us for free, then distribute shards for leveling up behind some kind of pay wall. I would say tournaments are dead at this point.

It really is.... you get a ton of character shards that can be converted

I don't know... all these boring clicking... and for what - for shard shop or useless toons?!? You've got better roster than mine, at least higher swgoh score, and I really cannot believe that you've spent 200k on bronziums..
