Mace Windu Rework Idea #2

Mace Windu
Light Side, Attacker, Jedi, Galactic Republic, Leader

Invincible Assault Basic: Deal physical damage to target enemy and inflict daze for 2 turns. If Mace is above 50% health this attack deals double damage, and if Mace is at or below 50% he recovers health equal to the damage dealt.

Smite Special: Deal physical damage to target enemy and remove all buffs from them. If no buffs are dispelled, increase the target’s cooldowns by 1. If the target was suffering Shatterpoint, reduce the cooldown of this ability by 1 and gain retribution for 2 turns. This attack can’t be evaded. (Cooldown 3)

Battle Attuned Master of the Force Leader: Jedi allies have +50% offense and critical chance. Sith enemies have -50% offense and critical damage. ZETA: Allies with retribution are immune to debuffs. Whenever a Galactic Republic ally scores a critical hit, all allies gain 10% turn meter and recover health equal to 50% of the damage dealt.

Shatterpoint Unique 1: At the start of each of his turns, Mace inflicts shatterpoint on two random enemies who don’t already have it for 2 turns, which can’t be resisted. Mace gains +50% speed (doesn’t stack) until the start of his next turn whenever he attacks an enemy with Shatterpoint. ZETA: Mace is immune to shock, daze, and stun. Mace gains 5% offense (stacking) until the end of the encounter whenever an enemy is inflicted with shatterpoint.

Shatterpoint: Unit is inflicted with armor shred and stun if damaged by Mace Windu.

Vaapad Unique 2: Mace grants retribution for 2 turns to a random ally who doesn’t have it at the end of each of his turns. While Mace is active, allies with retribution have +25% counter damage. Whenever Mace attacks out of turn he gains protection up (10%). ZETA: When an ally counter attacks, they have a 50% chance to call Mace to assist.

    Nice ability. What bothers me is the wording thou. It has an effect when mace is above 50% health and an effect when he is below. But what when he has exactly 50% Health? With this wording he would gain no effect at all. Granted the chance is small but still. Probably better to use "Otherwise" somewhere in here.

    I think it needs an effect when the target has no buffs. Other than that no problems. Nice ability.

    I personally believe that Vaapad isn't the right name for his leadership, seeing as it was his own fighting style and was considered dangerous to other Jedi. But that is a personal opinion. This is overall a really nice ability but there is one thing that bothers me, The critical chance reduction for Sith enemies.
    Normal Sith, like the Triumvirate trio, don't really rely on critical hits that much. So the critical chance down doesn't do much to them. And Sith empire (Darth Revan) can gain +200% Crit chance from his lead and ferocity only. 100% consistently. So that is like trying to dove a forest fire by Dropping a single bucket of water on it: It's not gonna do much.
    But what bothers me most is that there are galactic jedi that quite rely on critical hits for their ability's. Barriss Offee's Unique, Swift Recovery, is the first that comes to mind. So you are limiting yourself there as well. I would replace that with reduced defence or Crit Damage. Whichever you prefer.

    With Padmé now in the game I don't like the turn meter manipulation. Her unique negates that after all and we really don't need any more limitations like that for the Galactic Republic. Personally I would replace it with something like this: Mace gains +50% Speed (Doesn't stack) until the start of his next turn when he damages an enemy with Shatterpoint.
    This would synergise better. And he already has turn meter manipulation in his leadership. So the turn meter here is a tad too much anyway.

    Overall a nice ability (I've already said my thing about Vaapad), Thou the "whenever he takes a turn" is vague. Please clarify whether it is the start or end of his turn. Other than that little to say.

    Overall a nice idea. Even if I think 3 zeta's is too much. It still is a solid kit and it's only an idea. So I don't mind too much. Great job, as always.
