I'm actually totally down for a legendary event requiring Republic ships. I've been preparing for that for a while now and have almost all the ships including Anakin's at 6*. 7* just won't be possible as I'm still a new-ish player and haven't gotten far enough on the 6-7* capital ship grind.

I don't think my g13 Grievous will mind though. But my ship shard certainly will, hah.

Is anyone gonna talk about the "this ship is not obtainable and can't be used in any other event or game mode" part ?
Just like the devastator (vador's ship) a while ago.

The devs seemed to be against putting another ship in the GEC 2 store in the Q&A. My guess would be a legendary requiring Galactic Republic ships that is insanely hard with Mace but pretty straightforward with GK flagship and Anakin's starfighter. Or a special mission in LSTB using the same requirements.

Devastator was a pure copy/paste of Executrix only with Darth Vader as the commander. Not a chance they went through the amount of work it took to model the Malevolence and give it a totally unique skill set to only have it available for a marquee event. It will in some way be playable down the road.

Does this ship remind anyone else of the batmobile from Batman forever? ???

That was the GAC store. Not the GET 2 store. They didn't say anything about another unit going into the GET 2 store.

They clearly said they wouldn’t be putting anything in GAC soon. But they also said adding characters to the GET store was a “strong internal debate”. If it hasn’t already been decided, it at least indicates there will be some resistance to adding a 2nd ship or more characters there.

But then again, some toon or the other will go in GET2 store when LS TB releases. I mean, we have two for GET (Hyoda and Wampa). We got Negotiator for DS, so maybe LS results in Malevolence.

At this stage, everything is just speculation so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm guessing that's what the Negotiator is for; 26,500 before unlock

My chimera is just shy of 54k. Seems on a par as that malevolence is fully upgraded.

I agree. If the rumours are that LSGTB is even harder than DS then getting the currency will slow down. Wouldn’t surprise me if Mal is unlocked like Wat Tambor as a special mission within LSGTB.
