- braskme5 years agoSeasoned AceHopefully they cast someone relatively obscure as the Grand Admiral. Most of the casting suggestions I've seen for him would be a little too recognizable and break the suspension of disbelief for me. The casting for Ahsoka was great partly because the actor wasn't immediately obvious (but mostly because Rosario nailed it). The Grand Admiral needs to have a very strong presence, both physically and psychologically, with a calm and calculating demeanor. So far all the casting has been quite good, so I have high expectations :)

I want to know more about that lady, like how is her boss Thrawn!? I'm hoping this gets answered either in Mando or in the Ahsoka show that hopefully is made.
I get the appeal of wanting to know more, but this post made me realize something I'd almost forgotten about;; One of the things about Star Wars that I found fascinating when I was younger was the breadth of characters that were interesting but also very mysterious.
For example, we know SO much about Boba Fett now, but when he first debuted, he was a complete mystery. Between his appearances in ESB and RoTJ (not counting the TV special), you didn't have much else to go on, so you'd let your imagination run wild with possible backstories and then discuss those with other fans. It was fun to speculate and debate.
So, while my curiosity always wants to be satisfied, I think there's something nostalgic and tantalizing about some of these characters being a mystery. I eventually want to know more the Magistrate. But, for now I'm happy to be kept in the dark.
Yeah I totally agree with you here. It feels like people there days need to see Fett or (anyone famous in the movies, eg Solo) expanded on.. like in Solo people NEEDED to see the Kessel run.
Personally I feel making more movies and having Cameos where people meet up makes the SW universe feel smaller, making new characters and stories will expand the universe and feed games like this with new content to keep going.. or we will keep getting more Han, Luke or Chewie characters in game :/
Agreed. I felt that Rebels really suffered from cameos - to the point where I really didn't care much about Phoenix squad because the cameos were far more interesting. Though that might be in part because the main characters were pretty one dimensional until the 4th season.
I didn't have any problem with the boss lady. The atmosphere of the town, its surroundings, her willingness to sacrifice the townsfolk, and Ahsoka's quick synopsis of what she was doing was all the background that was really needed. And at the end we know she's working for Thrawn, which raises all sorts of interesting questions - where is he? Why does he need all these resources? How did he survive? Is Ezra still alive? That's excellent storytelling right there.
Did you read my theory on the prisoner being Ezra? It could set up for a continuation of Rebels of some kind.
I did, but I think it's pretty unlikely as Ahsoka would have recognized him, either by sight or force sense.
She would of yes, and if my theory is correct, she would not of said a thing because Ezra could be used against her.. even killed."Sebek;c-2198651" wrote:

Shes ok, but lets get down to brass tax here. I want to know more about Thrawn, forget his underlings, unless they tie in to the seventh fleet. I loved reading the new Thrawn trilogy. I want to see how my theory about how he survives to the real story and I would like to see them reestablish Thrawn as true villain and not what we see in Rebels. I thought he was sub-par in Rebels and made huge tactical blunders that he wouldn't make.
I found this.
This episode is set before the Thrawn/Space Whale though isn't it?
How? Rebels S4 Takes place in 0BBY(Not Counting the Epilogue), Mando takes place in 9ABY so....
The ending of Rebels, where Ahsoka and Sabine are last seen doesn't have a point in time and Filoni said it was supposed to be that way. Also said it was possible that Mando happened before that point."CG_Doja_Fett;c-2198844" wrote:
Who would y'all cast asSpoilerThrawn?
I could see Tobias Menzies.
James Woods- I'm hoping they cast Thrawn as the same guy who did it in Rebels. But for whenever they go to Thython...I'm hoping the Jedi is Cal Kestus. (Sorry if I spelled it wrong :D )
- After I heard Thrawn's name, I started reading the books, I'm trying to read them in (somewhat) chronological order.

Is there a room for such a significant event in Cal's story as told by the game? I haven't played it yet, but from what I heard, it's pretty strictly contained with little to no debate.
I haven't fully completed the game, but it's like 5 years after Revenge of the Sith and I know Cal doesn't die at the end, so I believe he could make a short appearance at Tython, either it's going to be him or Luke in my opinion. Also speaking of campaigns, I think it would be cool to see a little Iden Versio cameo since her story was taking place during this same time period.- LordDirt5 years agoSeasoned Ace

Figure it is Ezra "DarthVenomis;c-2199025" wrote:

I actually never considered Cal. Would be really cool, among Ezra or other Jedi. It could be possible and still kinda work with the story from Fallen Order. Don't want to spoil it. I've played it twice so far and tempted for a 3rd play through.- I can totally see Ezra (I've never actually watched all of Rebels) being in it, but I'm hoping for Cal. I've seen a thing going around about Lucasfilm trying to cast Sebastian Stan for a younger Luke, but they are waiting for the approval of Mark Hamil. So if Mark says yes then Luke will probably be the Jedi. Personally, I don't want it to be Luke, we've already had a whole entire SAGA for him, Mando is time for new things.
