Mayfeld could possibly come join the team, Cara, Greef are on the list too, as well as any "expendables" they may need to recruit. Boba Fett is finally getting his due in the live action arena and he is a survivor, so not sure I can agree it would be Boba.

I wonder if Mando will have trouble with The Children of the Watch and possession of his armor will become an issue in season 3. He did seem out of his element, but I think it was more from not wearing a helmet, than his armor.

we also have to figure in that he is not one to talk his way out of anything.......so yeah he was out of his element.

If you are referring to the arc generator, I guess that’s possible. They did destroy it in Rebels, but I guess they could have had backup plans for it. Though they needed Sabine to make it work properly. So they would have had to have backup plans and been able to make it work properly somehow. But it would help explain the purge on Mandalore.

Unfortunately, most SW fans, including die hard fans, have not watched Rebels. And that was one episode out of many, so even those that have watched it may not remember or haven’t watched that particular episode.

That’s a long way of explaining that they would have to do a ton of work to explain what it was and how it suddenly appeared in this show. It would be difficult to pull off well.

I dont think anything being obscure is really going to hold them back in this show. they seem to have enough freedom to introduce something like that, and the general skills to tie it all together. who knows if they will, I just dont think this "excuse" will be the reason it doesn't get brought in.

As for the facial scan, I think about it differently.

In a police evidence locker for a big city, when a cop in uniform or an assistant district attorney with their badge/card shows up, they ask them to sign out the evidence in the evidence log, but that's not to check who they are. They **might** be a fake cop in a fake uniform. They might have stolen the district attorney credentials. But we trust the card. That's the security measure. The signature helps track who they gave what, but it's not the security measure.

Mando has a data stick with his clearance - although like the stolen credentials above, this has been stolen/forged.

The facial scan is not the security measure. It's just asking for his face as a "signature" to keep a record of who checked out that data. It will only ever be looked at if they discover later that the data access wasn't authorized.

It also stops R2, of course. There have to be lots of slicer droids that would be stopped by this (though other slicers might be good enough to bypass the facial scan).
