Mara Jade stealth/counter attack bug? Or WAI?

So, when I use MJs second special, where she does AOE and gains stealth, should she be getting counter attacked from that, if she successfully goes under stealth? My understanding from those sorts of attacks (for example, GMY stealing stealth buff) is that there should be no counter attacks if your stealthed at the end of the attack.

So just curious if there’s a timing issue I’m not understanding, or if this is a bug (before I submit a report).

    I get it also, TBH never looked into it due to being lazy, would love to know also.

    I guess there is no consistency

    GMY gains stealth as he does his AOE so he doesn't get countered

    Mara does AOE, Counterattacks are queued up, she goes into stealth completing her ability, the queued up counter attacks follow afterwards

    Could be bugged, could be WAI

    I'll let CG know and see if we can get a response on this, and hopefully, in the future they make abilities more consistent (like next toon does stealth first and then does AOE)

    Having read both abilities, it seems like they both do damage and then gain buffs, so it definitely seems inconsistent. Just annoying when I do a thing and it doesn’t work as expected :) otherwise, I think MJ is my favourite character in the game!

    Yeah….abilities aren’t always coded the way they are written. Based off the mechanics on .gg, it looks like GMY’s ability copies stealth before it deals damage. Mara’s ability deals damage before she gains stealth. That leads to the different behaviors with counter attacks.
