May the 4th "Double" drops - not really double or is it just me?

I've spent all my regular energy on node DS8-B today. Including free energy and three 50-crystal refreshes, that's almost 600 energy. And from all that energy I've gotten exactly 8 stun gun salvage. Not 8 x 2 = 16. Nope, just single-digit eight.

Edit: Point being, that is a statistically significant departure from normal bell curve returns based on previous normal/average outcomes.
