May the fourth, disappointment
I don’t want to deny that having some rewards or freebies is nice or even welcomed, in a game based on money, it’s at least thoughtful that CG gives us something, a token, of appreciation. People can disagree, I’m certainly fine with a profile picture and some shards, even crystals to help out on double drops is welcomed.
My largest complaint has to be the light speed bundles, how they are expensive and really niche this fourth. A general Grieveous bundle? Fantastic. For the “ low”price of 24.99 before taxes? Absolutely not. It’s a toon that will help every player in GAC but is outclassed very soon after you build conquest hero’s or develop broader teams.
A mandalorians team? Fantastic, 14.99? Great! Useless…unless you also spend the 45-40 dollars to get Maul and only useful if you run them on offense, they also lose to practically any high level team that most people set in GAC. The rest of the bundles and packs are mostly geared towards players who will see minimal gains and one is explicitly for the raid and is practically the same bundle that was launched for Naboo, but worse.
No relaunch of Aphra or Bad Batch…heck, no anything to help players substantially in the new raid or on mid to high level teams. Especially when you factor in the new raid will be extremely difficult to build towards. Most of the packs launched for the fourth are chase packs and packs designed to gamble away shard currency and or bet high, while being lowed by random chance.
All of this is not new, but CG should look at minimizing the randomness of these character currency packs if they are asking for us to spend our hard earned money on packs that are just designed to be gambles, if they are not going to put out other packs that matter (excluding materials packs ofc)
