One of the hints they gave was that his journey was going to be from Tatooine to escaping the first Death Star (despite the fact that some people foolishly decided to interpret this as the second Death Star).
Which allies (that are in the game, which excludes C-3PO and Chewie) did Luke have during that time? In order: Biggs, R2, Old Ben, Han Solo, Stormtrooper Han, and Leia.
The footage of Biggs was cut from ANH prior to the movie's release, making him unlikely. And raid Han was never likely to be a required character, and is ultimately unfarmable, per se. And Luke didn't meet any other rebels until after escaping from the Death Star.
