If the idea is to use Lukes friends from episode 4 what about biggs and wedge? Biggs was his best friend growing up so why are they not options too? It would also help out those people that are unable to get a 7 star R2 with such a short warning of the event coming.
So there is options that could be used to give a lot more people a chance to get involved with the event and stop all the complaining about missing toons and the lack of time to farm them to 7*
