Meta Shift

It seems like the most powerful de-buff just got a lot more powerful. I think it's a fair change and it has been talked about for a while, the best part is there's finally a proper counter to dodge :)

I don't see this shifting the "meta". Teams will change some but dodge/evasion will continue to rule.

Daka and RG are basically essential already, and this does nothing to nerf Dooku since they're simply taking away a slight amount of dodge and then giving it right back to him by not allowing opposing players to dodge his stuns. I already see nothing but Dooku/Old Ben, Daka, RG, QGJ, Rey builds in arena, and I don't see anything about this update that will change that. Maybe Old Ben is now brought down to Dooku's level a bit, but otherwise not much to see here.

What WILL happen is people will see way more stuns in arena, making tenacity builds a lot more important. Characters like Yoda, Luke, and Magma will all benefit from this change, albeit only to the extent that people use more stuns, which they already seem to do quite a bit.

I don't think one single person in my t100 uses Daka. RG and Dooku are the only stunners being used right now. It's all dodge, dps and tanks. Maybe on the younger servers this is the case. So, I guess it's all dependent on your server meta.

A meta shift won't really happen solely because stunned toons can no longer dodge. The initial stun still needs to land. So evasion is still a reliable way to ignore stun. Also, Rex removes and prevents stuns. Rex is a super solid toon used at top levels.

However, modding may play a role in a meta shift. Not sure how it will work out, but a change in arena comes from mods, not stunned toons failing to dodge.

I agree with Nebulous, this probably is just a minor change overall. And I think @1AmYourFath3r is right, it's really going to depend on your server as well, though I believe at the top ranks it's probably mostly the same.

As I said earlier though, if you're having trouble with stuns, using characters that give tenacity boosts is probably the way to go.

People laughed at me for running ventress lead with daka. I will enjoy my stun team after this patch.
