Missing chat

I have the same issue on iOS.

My guildmate had the same problem: everything was fine before the update, and now no chat and no ability to change account (and he plays 2 accounts so it became a real problem)

We have chat, but posts ONLY show-up (for me at least) when we tap it. Really annoying to be honest. It needs fixing, because I’m not sure if all our members have chat, or just the few who’ve posted.

I think this is a bigger issue with this update than is being noticed or talked about. This is happening to me as well, after having played for years with chat, it is suddenly gone. I went through the help chat and the solution they offered was to send them a photo of a legal document (passport, birth certificate, government issues ID) to prove my age, or start a new account and enter the correct birthday myself and start all over.

First off, when I made my accounts no one was checking my ID to verify my age, but now all of a sudden when their update resets the birth date on the account they're worried about me being underage (Im in my 40s).

Second, I gave the EA/CG help a birthday when I was speaking to them. That is literally all they require in order for you to create the account in the first place. That should be all they need in order to re-enter a birth date when it is reset by THEIR update that reset/broke the date in the first place.

Third, if this is somehow an argument to protect minors from being exposed to...whatever it is their worried about in their chat, I'd argue that its far more dangerous to allow them access to endless amounts of in app purchases than an in game chat window that is already overly censored.

Maybe I'm making it harder on myself for refusing to send them a photo of whatever document they want to look at but I'm just not going to do that and, honestly, I'd advise anyone with the same issue to refuse as well.
