Missing TWs because of invasive ads

Fair point, and usually, yes. This time we had a culmination of officer absences that meant we missed it. But that's not really my point.
We are creatures of habit and as most of us have moved to Discord, the chat window in-game is becoming less of a go-to for reminders. It's not CG's fault that I didn't bother to check the Guilds page. But by removing something we've come to rely on and replacing it with an advert for something I don't want, they've created an issue.
I know CG want my money - they've had a ton of it over the years and at one point even advertised in the play store as 'Highest grossing RPG' (pretty outrageous as they also claim to be free-to-play). Force-feeding me a £100 bundle that's targeted at new players - and, in the process, overriding a feature I genuinely apprecite - is not going to make me want to part with any more of my hard-earned...
As long as someone puts up the banner, if should appear on the bottom of your screen unless you've opened the chat window.. which means you should have seen the banner at least twice.
Also, do you not check out the "guild" section of the cantina to see the donation list?
And there wasn't a single mention on your discord about TW signup???
I'm not saying the reminder shouldn't be on the right side of the screen.... It just seems a little unlikely that TW wasn't mentioned for over 24 hours in discord or via an in-game banner. And if it was and you just didn't navigate over because there wasn't a button, that's not really a UI issue.
