I really think if the Mk3 are removed from a raid the COST of the raid should be reduced. What value is there in running a raid when the material rewards are so much lower than the featured raid? Cut the cost of the SB raid in half, and then maybe the cost of the Krayt one as well, and then maybe the Sith/Tank/Rancor raid further, otherwise why would anyone ever do those again?
If they cut the cost of the SB raid in half then it would end up being more advantageous to do the speeder bike raid than the Naboo raid because you'd end up with double the Mk1/Mk2 per week.
Something that people keep forgetting about when they're complaining about the Mk3 being removed is that all that Mk1/Mk2 currency can also be used for relic materials by way of gear that can be purchased and scrapped at the scavenger.
No one will go back and do those raids. That's a whole different problem in my mind, but the proposal of reducing the cost of those raids doesn't make sense if you're not also going to further reduce the rewards in those raids.

It's not really more advantageous because you get zero Mk3 rewards, which are critical for any higher relics. They have reduced the rewards, by completely removing Mk3 rewards. Maybe take 10% off the other rewards, but it makes no sense to keep it as expensive as the only one that gives Mk3 rewards.

Sure, I understand what relic materials are used for and why people want Mk3. Here's the math:
You get 9.7k Mk2 and 0 Mk3 for getting the third box in Endor*
You get 9.7k Mk2 and 1500 Mk3 for the third box in Naboo
Mk12 Stun Gun Salvage (or Furnace, or Datapad) goes for 67 Mk2 each (1005 Mk2 for 15 of them). You need 13 of them to scrap them for one Gyrda Keypad. So you get one Gyrda for 871 Mk2. That same Gyrda costs 585 Mk3 if you buy it that way. So if all we look at is Gyrda, to keep the math simple:
2 runs of Endor per week: 9.7k Mk2 * 2 = 19400 Mk2 / 871 = 22.3 total Gyrda per week.
Compared to
1 run of Naboo per week: 9.7k Mk2 / 871 = 11.1 Gyrda per week + 1500 Mk3 / 585 = 2.6 Gyrda per week = 13.7 total Gyrda per week.
So running Endor twice and getting the same reward box would net a 39% higher return of Gyrdas - or an additional 8.6 Gyrdas for running Endor instead of Naboo.
These numbers aren't consistent for Impulse detectors and Zinbiddles because the Mk2-Mk3 exchange rate is different for each of the items, but the point is, if they reduced the cost to launch by half it would absolutely end up being more advantageous to run Endor. Cutting the rewards by 10% wouldn't come close to closing the gap.
There's an asterisk by 'Endor' at the top of the post because the Mk2 rewards continue to go up as you increase your reward box, up to 10.5k. This is because CG increased the amount of Mk2 and Mk1 awarded in every box after the third one when they took the Mk3 out. So sure, they've removed the Mk3, but they've also boosted the other two currencies - probably because if you're having trouble going up to the next raid, the problem is likely the G13 hump and not relic levels.
So that was nice of them I guess.
FWIW, I don't like that my Mk3 income went down - I think that stinks - and I think Mk3 should be moved completely, or at least mostly to the personal reward box to reward the folks that are doing the heaviest lifting for the guild. Scoring in the top 5 and getting the pittance of additional rewards on the personal track is really kind of annoying.
