Mods Update II: It's Another Mega Thread!!

I use to spend $100 to $200 a month on this game and considered myself a budget player , bought a few chrome packs in the beginning and then tried ftp for a bit and settled on a budget.

What does this have to do with mods u say?

Well when u spend enough to be in the top 10 of my arena in my ladder but there are now whales that spend enough on mods to have 5 players with 100k plus health/defense and when I have my arena team with maxed mods as well and I can't even get past the protection on one toon that's rediculus. Not to mention the same toons have avoid damage and higher potency and tenacity.

Which basically means, they have so much health/protection that I couldn't kill them in 5 min especially since my toons( which by the way yes I did by the challenge mods, level 5 and max mine out) and spread them around as best I could. Unfortunately , I either didn't get lucky or didn't spend enormous amounts of money to get the top mods for each of my players. So my toons die in 2-3 hits because I didn't spend enough to get mods that not only increase my Heath to over 100k but also makes my armor impenetrable, and my potency 150 % better.

Now the drop rate isn't 100%, and we now have to use cantina energy for mods and cantina drops. Obviously just like GW the whales got tired of having all the toons in cantina and only being able to get mats from cantina. Which I might note, somehow mats are included in the mods, which means whales only have to do thier 3 cantina battles. I'll bet the whales wouldn't be smiling if the mats were onlyn available in the cantina..... I mean what do mats have to do with mods? You don't find mats in light dark battles, but then again that energy renues rapidly and u can buy your first three refills for 50 crystals, then 3 for 100 crystals. Not to mention the free daily light / dark energy.

Not like in cantina where it won't refil in a day, and the first refill is 100, then 200, then 400...... No free cantina energy.

It's obvious that in order to get mods u must spend crystals and now with a less than 100% drop rate you are not even guaranteed a mod that cost 16 cantina energy.... Those are the good ones.... And at 120 cantina energy for the 100 crystals that means you get 7 chances to get a good mod, off course it's not 100% that u will get a mod and the mod u get is random... So basically spend spend spend.

Just like GW, the whales don't need the credits to buy the toons and they don't even really need the cash, which of course the budget and Ftp players it's thier main source of income.

So this game is advertised as a free to play game, but if u can't do half the things in the game without buying crystals then I think it should be called a pay to play game..... And since everything is so random i would consider that more like gambling.... I mean isn't that what the chrome packs are, buy crystals and buy a chrome pack and hope u get the toons u want..... Since it's not free that sounds a lot like gambling to me.

It's obvious mods is for cash flow, it the ultimate way to get the best toon, and u can't say it's op cause a ftp player could have a 1 in a billion chance to get that same mod if they wait a few days for thier cantina energy to fill. Of course it would take weeks to get all 6 special 16 cantina energy mods. And then of course it only takes 22.5k for chances to upgrade , and the average cost to upgrade on of the good le mods is 500k to 750k credits to get it to 15. And it takes a ftp player about a week to get that much, longer now since GW has to be " more of a challenge" so in about let's be generous and say a month u get the money u too can have the same mod one of the ptp players has..... Of course if u get a drop and u get the right mods needed..... Oh silly me, of course you will, everone wins the lottery every time they play.

Really this game use to be the whales have an advantage to they are the only ones who can play the game.

I for one will not be contributing any more money to this game, I mean with the next Star Wars almost out they have to get ready to start a new Free to lose, pay to win Star Wars gambling machine.

And if I was free to play, really , what is the point now???

I wonder if they took a poll and saw how many ptp players there were after 6 months of playing and how many free to play what the % would be.

Well thanks for tanking another good game guys, really I wish I had your jobs; so I could mess things up so royally it would take a decade for another to make a worse mistake, yet you guys seem to somehow do it almost every update and still have jobs...... Well I hope enough players spend money to keep u employed!
