@Peempo - Yes, those are among the characters we're reviewing. We're looking at each of the most commonly-discussed heroes.
You're reviewing heroes based on the traffic regarding them on the forum?
So everyone's favourite which everyone will talk about will be reviewed but a lesser talked about hero will not be?
Everyone is harping on about Resistance Pilot, but Resistance Trooper was nerfed by exactly the same amount as him yet no one will talk about him. Does this make him less likely for a buff simply due to the fact that he is spoken about less?
This is absolutely ridiculous. You completely decimated a very large percentage of the characters and have decided to undo said damage one hero at a time based on the chatter regarding said character?
What a silly way to respond to an update that was massively screwed up from the get go.
What about chromium only heroes? They were nerfed just as bad as others but you will hear far less chatter about them because far less people have them.
Will Cad Bane ever get the buff he deserves if we don't make a few hundred posts whining about how useless he is?
I am hoping John's post was meant in general terms. But I do also hope they take a look at the chromium toons because that shit's expensive and the people that max them out basically allows the game to keep running for all of the FTP guys.
'We're looking at each of the most commonly-discussed heroes.'
It doesn't get much clearer than that.
If a character like Resistance Trooper just got a massive nerf and no one says a word then he won't be buffed.
If a character like Anakin just got a massive nerf and everyone complains about it he will be reviewed, and possibly receive a buff.
Postponing the combat tuning but not the guilds and raids was a very, very bad decision by management. Since the update they would have had to divert all energy to testing the new battle modes instead of continuing to test the combat tuning. Because obviously they didn't do it right the first time.
Once they finally get that right they should have then moved onto creation and testing of guilds.
Note: this is coming from someone who has desperately wanted guilds and raids since I first started playing.
What we will have now is a poorly implemented guild & raid system and a poorly conceived combat tuning update.
They will have to scramble to fix both at the same time instead of tackling the issues individually.
The fact that damage nerfs and protection and armour meaning more all at the same time was bad enough, but add all of the work on guilds they have to do as well and that will create a very unproductive workplace.
Good luck seeing anything good come out of CG HQ for the next month.
