If I put a squad of Nightsisters lead by Mother Talzin and the enemy takes out, let's say, Asajj and Old Daka, but my squad still wins. Is there a chance that they would still be revived the next time...

Just wait until this behaviour is released as a "bug". Currently you can upgrade toons after lock in. Our last and current opponents exploited this like hell ....
