My #1 takeaway after 5 weeks is:
What excuse do the Game Developers have for not creating "User's Guide", a "Player's Manual"? Not tricks or strategies, but just a document covering the features of the game.
I have watched more than a dozen videos about Mods. Everybody does their best. I appreciate their work. But none of them are working off a script. They have a list of topics they want to cover.
Some title the video "Mods 101", and they start with some of the basics. They do not cover all the basics. And then they move on to advanced topics that g well beyond what a "101" video would cover.
A beginner, myself, has not yet heard all the basics, seen an example, or practiced fundametal tasks.
And here come advanced topics.
And many videos were done on earlier versions of the game, and the User Interface is different.
Again, I appreciated all the people doing videos. They work hard on their videos. But together, the videos do not cover all the materiel a "User's Guide" would cover.
The "User's Guide" should be part of the product of the Development Staff from Day 1. The "User's Guide" is tested by having the game testers use the "User's Guide" to learn how to play the game. Their problem, issues, and complaints are converted into corrections and additios to the "User's Guide".
