In some Eastern European languages, for example, they have no word for cousin and would instead describe them as, their brother from their aunt etc. if the OP is EAL then this could be an easy mistake to make and should be forgiven. Cheating on the other hand should get a lifetime ban.
This is what I thought about the cousin- brother; could be a cousin that was raised with them and feels like a brother.
But it doesn't make the story more believable, and even sharing accounts violates ToS.
