My account has been hacked

Hi all,
Firstly, I'm playing this game since 2016 , I have 11m GP , I spent thousands of dollars on the game and years of playing, building my account.
I was hacked 15 hours ago, after opening several tickets on the app and on EA website it seems nobody is able to help me.

I have my alley code, my segoh.cc profile, my guild mates helping me.
My account is scribe on my guild , not sure who did this or how.

I am desperate and furious.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

let me give you a BIG tip. never ever tell people what you think happened. You've already convinced the people in this thread that your account is deleted and they've already dismissed you. even the moderator.

you clearly said people see the account in game. they account is in the guild. swgoh.gg says it's still getting updated. this account is most likely NOT deleted.

your post should have read "I cannot access my account any more, I believe it was hacked"

people are lazy and you gave them an out because you said your account was deleted.

A deleted account is never actually deleted. What happens is you lose connection to the account and CG changes the name to a default name and removes any PII they have on their end. This essentially completely disconnects it from you and CG has no way to validate who actually owned the account. Legally once it's deleted they can't and shouldn't restore it for you unfortunately. Look into "right to be forgotten" for more info.

well the way they implemented it is poorly. i have a log of a account before and after deletion. and all they really do is cutting the connections.

They keep your buy history and a lot of other information. So with that it should be easy to prove you are the owner. Atleast if you are a paying user

So if I do the deletion, ask for it to be reinstated, and they comply, can I then sue them for not actually deleting my data?

    Hypothetically.

That's one way to get suspended or banned from the official forums

To be fair, he didn’t threaten legal action.
He pointed out that even if CG are able to connect the dots for a deleted account, they might open themselves to legal action by admitting as much, thus insinuating that regardless of what is possible, he does not believe they will take any action to reconnect the account.

Can you not read the part after that which says legal discussions (like the one you are making) isn't allowed

My bad, somehow stopped reading at the bolded part.
So to answer your question, no, I couldn’t. Thanks for the assist though :)
  • It was never my intention to start any such discussion, and I didn't think my hypothetical comment would be particularly controversial, but simply a potential reason why something people think is a purely technical issue, isn't happening.

I'll be more careful in the future though. Apologies, and thanks.
  • It would be good to have MFA before deletion, at least gives a chance to stop malicious actors
