My Idea to Improve Tournaments

I like both your ideas but personally id like to see more frequent tournaments but with a catch. You arent so much going up against people but instead trying to reach a goal to achieve a prize. For example with the coming jyn tournament if you manage to get 500 points you get 20 shards. If you get 8k points you get the full character regardless of your overall position. It prevents people from complaining(myself included) about hackers hogging the top spots if everyone on that shard has the opportunity to unlock a 7* character. And with more frequent tournaments it means that people will still have to save their ally points for specific tournaments because to reach a point threshold to unlock a specific character will still take a lot of effort and refreshes.
This method will also remove the disappointment associated with expending every ally point you own to rank high and then being knocked down a peg or two at the last minute and missing out on a super character

I feel this could also keep the META evolving because atm the chaze combo is too overpowered but with a steady release of new characters and people having to decide which ones they WILL unlock it will keep the game from getting stale too fast
