My team for padme

I’m actually investing in the geonosians because I’m gambling they get a slight rework soon.

There's basically 2 subfactions in Separatists, Droids and Geonosians (and 1 scoundrel, 1 NS, 1 sith). Since many people already have good geonosians due to the older geo ship meta, I'm betting that droids are the one CG has picked. Might be able to get away with a Poggle lead droid/geo team, or maybe even a Nute/Geo Spy team with heavy backup (Asajj, Sunfac, Grev), but unlikely you'll be able to get a 7* Padme with them.

Not true, GG lead gives bonuses to all seps.

While technically true, you need target locked enemies to trigger that general leader ability, and only the droids can inflict target lock. Putting non-droids into the squad weakens his leader because there's less opportunity to inflict it.

No doubt it will be another situation as was with Threepio. Everybody had Teebo and Scout at 7* but they were the worst characters to use. Instead the event is ridiculously hard without Logray who is one of the hardest to obtain.
I imagine given there will be so many people (like me) with G12 Geo teams out there thanks their fleeting fleet meta, I'm guessing Geos can be ruled out... This event smacks to me of zGG and his droids at G12 and or another release to come on May 4th or something similar.

Who knows, Geo's are rumoured for a rework and there could be a 5th Geo added yet so they may just work yet.

My preference would be GG lead, 3 bugs, Assajj

Just keep the RNG god's happy and you'll be fine

That would be pretty bad if Dooku was useless since the event video clip (which was posted and then pulled down from Twitter) shows Dooku in the lead of an event team.

There aren't many good Separatist leadership abilities. Grievous' will provide a small amount of boost to all Separatists. Dooku leadership is generic and impacts all allies, regardless of faction. So he is a reasonable choice for leader in any of these situations....unless the enemy attacks can't be evaded, of course.
