Need an Explanation on TW Setup

Our guild is currently at 393m gp and we are facing a guild that is pretty similar to ours all around which is great. My issue here is we are for some reason being asked to set 49 teams per spot which is the most we have come across to this point. 

So why is it that I hop on YouTube and see a Songeta TW video where both guilds are hovering around 600m gp, and only have to place 42 teams per slot. How on earth does this make even a little sense?
