Need help! R2 without Palp

Question

Has anyone been able to beat R2 without Palp?. I am asking for a friend. and If so, what team did you use and gear level. Thank you in advance!

The team is:

Vader - G8
TFP - G8
Tarkin - G8
Magmatrooper - G8
Royal Guard - G8

Ill let you know come end of the month as I have same team.. could only 6* palp last time.  Instead of Magma swapping in snowtrooper.. will probably fail but worth a shot!  Have some g9 though.

You gotta get Vader and RG up a gear level and that will make it a lot easier to do
