New account banned

CG_Meathead

Good morning,

my in game name is GeneralKushyKenobi, guild leader for Order of Iron Knights.

we have a member who has been targeted twice from malicious attacks.

the first time his account was hijacked and the hijacker deleted the account. Our guild stepped up in a huge way to help this member by spending our own money after he created another account.

members pitched in bought Light Speed Bundles from the gift store to help him bounce back, we get a message in discord this morning and the member has now been “banned for multiple offenses”.

I have attached two screenshots for reference of the account name and the screenshot of the ban screen.

my guild members also want a refund for the gifts sent to this account.

we just want to know why the account was banned and if he can possibly get the account back off the ban list.

This will never be answered by EA on the forum for legal reasons. Historically only other players discuss it.

From what i saw, there may have been a false auto report on the most recent GAC for Jango finishing with full protection but less than full health or maybe for so many sub 20 seconds battles. Their detection system is unknown for what its detecting. There may have been cheating in game modes that Swgoh.gg doesn't show.

The player is the only one who can go through the appeal and if they didn't cheat the account would be reinstated.  EA won't confirm what was the reason.

we removed the player from our guild, members spent money to help this guy and he didn’t care to try and recover the account.

as a guild leader I would to like to know at the very least why the account was banned. Did he cheat?

How is it a crap response? They posted a very formal channel for handling these things, which is better than what we had before. Why should this be handled by an off-the-cuff process of someone grabbing a request off the forums? There are probably thousands of accounts that need to be reviewed.

CG made a post about how tgis should be handled with the form right there; that's the process that should be followed.

I mean if he didn't even bother to try and recover it; there's your answer. He got caught and knew it.

A new ally code doesn't offer insight to what the previous account may have done.  This doesn't help, the ally code for the account in question will more readily show possible concerns.  Beyond that, simply trying to forego the established appeal process and demanding answers you're not entitled to only furthers suspicions.  You want an answer, follow the appeals process and if you want help from the forums, the original ally code.
