New content is ridiculous

As a 15m GP whale, I have to say this is the worst update yet. Everything seems extremely gated, to even higher levels than before.

why would I spend to get a 7* character when I can’t level them until after their journey event? The limited rewards and quantity needed is too much, and a bridge too far.

I may be done.
