Not sure that is true. Hence my second question. If those are multiplicative (in other words, first the effects from mods are computed, and then the effects from unique/lead) then that adds a massive boost and you should absolutely stack as much defense as possible on Sion, SiT, bossk and similar. If, however, they are additive, then the low base armor on these toons means you actually get less bang for your buck when using defense sets, and you're probably better off using health (or in actual fact, for Sion, speed).
