New mod slice dropping rates

I just spent 400 energy, did x5 sims on four different 'bonus' drop points: got zero drops. Is it working?! This is the bonus time so... What is this?

I got a ton of reinforcement pieces from the Bariss node and I've already gotten I think 6 salvage without doing any refreshes. Seems to be working alright for me. Also I don't think any of you know what "bonus" means.
