You have to pay through the tutorial. Then just go to settings and connect to your Google play account.

I wanna know when the game will allow us to login via the EA/origin account so we can play across devices. Other EA mobile games I play made the jump at some point..

You might need to try tech support then. If your previous game wasn't logged into your Google account, you may have to start over. :/
