New Toon Release Cadence is brutal

It is just as easy not to spend a dime on this game if you started from the beginning. As ftp, I've gotten to the point that I can almost keep caught up. At this point, I try to keep a 30K crystal stash for stuff like galactic chase or a new capital ship. Once I pass that mark, I have been using crystals on the non farmable toons. I just got my DTP up to R6, so I'm almost caught up on Ahsoka requirements except for Enoch, but I just purchased 50 shards for him. I got Morgan up to R5 before a switch to DTP, so I have almost done all I can do at this point for Baylon.
The bigger problem is, they no longer wait for a toon to be farmable before they drop the new big thing. In past, they may have only gave days or maybe weeks of farmable time before dropping an event, but that was at least something. To drop all this at once is a bit much, especially if they require a new ship and a few more marquees for Ahsoka.
Honestly, I'm surprised the game lasted this long. That is the main reason I refuse to waste money on these games. So many seem to disappear in a year or two, so you are really throwing your money away.
