I think there was a bug where one of the types of signal data wasn't in the find flow from the character screen. You can still go into cantina battles (under campaigns) and get it.

That's not a new bug, and it's not limited to signal data. I have frequently encountered this issue, often when using the search function for gear. I'd be looking for specific salvage to complete a G12+ piece and the search function would turn up no hits on it in the raid token shipments. Then I'd go directly to the guild shipments tab and find the exact piece I needed. It just wasn't visible through the search function.
