Thought about this some more.
My view: @Naecabon could have been more diplomatic, but that's really beside the point. At the core, he's correct: this preview didn't actually preview anything. It simply confirmed a new feature we had already been told was in the update, and provided no details. It was a teaser, not a preview.
If EA/CG has a policy against providing details ahead of a release, that's fine. As I said before, there are good reasons why this might be so. But in that case, they should just say that and not bother with previews.
