I've enjoyed reading your progression in this thread. Sounds like you're almost there. The recommendation for acoloyte I think is good but probably I'd probably switch out talia (instead of daka) due to the following. 1.)You don't need talia's heals if the rancor isn't taking turns and she only can double hit on her special if she's below 100% HP which should never happen. 2.) Daka is naturally faster than talia. 3.) Daka technically can hit twice on her basic as well which I think would count for the 50% chance of TMR. This TMR I think outweighs the gain from Talias special every 4 turns.
Probably some extra potency on spirit will do you some good as well.
Looking forward to seeing the video!
Thanks! I always like to read the threads in here that discuss different setups and how they work (or more importantly WHY they work), so I figured I'd make one of my own in case someone had a similar idea and wanted to discuss the ins and outs. Glad to hear there are others who find that sort of thing as interesting as I do.
You could be right about Talia being the better choice to remove in favour of Acolyte, but my original thought wasn't the benefits of her Harrowing Assault special, but on Water of Life. Usually that move is primarily a heal or a mass cleanse (both useless in this case as long as everything else is WAI), but in the case of a solo Rancor squad, the reason for it is to give 30% TM to all of the other allies and 75% to herself. Just like Talzin's Spirit Blade Assault, it could be used to give additional TM removal when the Rancor starts to get close to getting up there in TM.
If Daka's basic gives two attempts to remove 20% TM as you're suggesting, that's definitely something to think about.
