pretty sure they also said that Baylan would not be needed for GL Ahsoka but would be needed for the next GL after Ahsoka (GL Thrawn is my bet) This is why I would not be surprised for them to require Bo-Katan Mandalore for GL Ashoka. Don't be shocked if it happens.
I think another good question is "Who will be part of the Ahsoka team?" We already know that Ezra is supposed to be the lifter, so that leaves 3 more characters. Which in turn leads to the question "How many more marquee characters are we going to get?" Most, if not all, of the other GLs form their teams either with their requirements, e.g., SLKR and Jabba, or without necessarily stealing (or at least not stealing too much) from other GLs, e.g., Luke works great with Jedi that aren't used in other squads and at most only steals GAS from JMK.
A lot of people are speculating about Huyang and Jedi Sabine being released. But what if they're not, or what if only just one of them is released?
