Not a total wash
Compared to other events, this is probably one of the easiest farms for veteran players seeing as most uave had these toons unlocked and 7 starred for ages. And most of them are probably even at g12. ...

I'm sure few people have them already at R3, but it's not a wild requirement considering most people already have those at 7*. For competitive players (and yes this include f2p), it isn't crazy to think they can gear them up to R3 in time for the event.
I'd also argue that the trash characters for JKL >>>>> trash characters for GLs
R3 is minimum, it’ll be difficult to do it R3 I’m guessing. You’ll need r5+ to eat through all of it.
I would have to say it is a bit crazy to think f2p players will meet the requirements in ~1 week, unless you already had them g12 or higher. If the event rolled out next month, then yes, it’d be fine, but the fact it was sprung upon us with 2 days notice (for me) is sudden.
The only problem I have with the reqs are the characters. Gear I’m fine with, it’s the characters. I posted on another thread the amount of g11s and higher of each ROLO, CHS and Lando, I’d say around 5% of the player base has them all relic’d or at g12.
And the trash characters for JKL have next to no use in this game, the trash characters for GLs have some uses in a zFinn team.
At R3 the usefulness of ROLO(L) CHS(I used to call it CHOLO but ok) and lando will be the same as the garbage resistance in a zfinn team. The toons aren’t a problem, the gear isn’t a problem. The real problem is timing. But this forum complains about everything.
Zfinn (with Poe, RT, RP, Rose) can actually be used on offense to beat several common defense teams in GAC (even at the 6M gp mark). If you have an idea for either a solid offense or defense team using Rolo, Cholo, and Lando, I'm all ears.
when i relic my CHS and Lando I will let you know. Have no idea how they are as I have not used them relic'd yet and need to mod them. i am sure they will be able to beat an OR team with Carth or possibly take on a trooper team, who knows. Assuming they won't be useful is what is annoying as no one has tried them yet. Same was said about the vets and I'll tell you they are good at r3 and I played an R7 scoundrel team with vets R7 and SOlO movie toons r5 and I almost lost as I underestimated them. They took out my r7 Nest with R5 Nute, Dooku, r3 droideka and r5 jengo. Jengo was lone man standing in the red health.
