@Qeltar Exactly my thoughts too. It's also highly likely that Sidious regarded Dooku as a threat to himself. It's hinted in some source... Gotta look up where. That may be why he ordered Anakin to kill Dooku.

I'm not sure, but I think the sudden loss of both bhis hands may have hampered Dooku's ability to cast Force lightning. Vader could never use the skill for this reason.

Seeing how many times Dooku and Anakin faced off though, I find it hard to believe that Dooku would be careless. He was a tactical mastermind. I simply think that Anakin was right. His powers had grown quicker than Dooku could possibly realize.
