- Yes do this .. i want to see how you will beat a barris oder someone with this low dmg output.. this negative buff for the my team is to heavy - very unbalanced...
- What level are you playing at? I never have had major issues with him as his debuff gets a lot of resists typically across the team. I have a 5 star obi and ran into the same resist frustrations when on the offense.
- Im LVL 50 atm.. i dont have a ressist against lower attack dmg.. this is nearly 50% or more less dmg.. to unbalanced simple as it is
- Please please please....fight a toon for a while and take the time to look at the roster, acquire toons that counter it, and then if once you've done that if it's still OP, then make a post.
There's no way after 3 weeks you've faced Ben, analyzed his weaknesses or the team's weaknesses, then went and built a counter for him that was strong, and then tested that counter. This game has a lot of toons that do really different things. There are leaders that have tenacity to allies in their description - Luke is one. That skill blocks neg effects. There are toons that dispel negative effects - Ackbar. There are also toons that block specials - Lumi, Vader, Dooku is great vs. Ben...I would say yes Ben is one of the tougher toons to deal with, especially with the small number of toons most have after 3 weeks, but once you start to get a flow to him and Barris / other healer combos and have the toons to ability block or some other tactic in place, he's manageable. I prefer to ability block / Dooku stun him. Chip away at whatever my kill target is, and then when he's stunned and Barriss turn meter is low, go for the kill on that target unit. Then do that same task on the next target, which becomes easier and quicker as you are now 5 vs. 4.
Please everyone stop saying stuff is OP. This is just going to keep happening as you run in to different challenges that your current roster may not be able to handle. I was waiting for the Ben posts because unlike Dooku and Barriss, he's a legit big time threat. The roster and approach needed for Ben is much greater than Dooku or Barriss. I no longer think he's OP though. When I first faced him I did, but as you see the flow of the battles and learn when to place an ability block or stun and build toons that can execute this approach he's no longer scary. Once ability blocked, Ben is pretty useless - as are many of the Jedi - they are just low damage dealing tanks. HK 47 is another great toon that is farmable with anti-Jedi powers. His special can wreck a Ben / Healer build pretty good.
So instead of coming to rant on the forums about every new toon that people encouner, how about step back, analyze the toon, look at what other toons on the roster can do, and start to put together a gameplan for how to defeat it. All the nerf calls on this forum are ridiculous. This game is well balanced across the overall roster. - Not calling for a nerf specifically, but there ARE some characters that are WAY overpowered compared to others.. and Old Ben is one of them. He's not properly balanced in that his special ability is too strong and too frequent, he has another (ridiculous) one when killed, and also has as many HP as a tank.
Basically, everyone lucky enough to get the guy puts him in their team. That's a sign of imbalance. - Well said Johnny.
Old Ben is certainly powerful, there is no doubt about that. But as has been said, once you start coming up against him, it's time to find counters. Ability blocks, stuns, debuff clears all now become valuable, where as before you were only concerned with damage.
If a team is my level and only has an Old Ben, I can tell you I will win that fight 100% of the time. He becomes truly powerful when he's coupled with certain other characters. Which, in turn means it's not actually him that is OP, but the combination that is OP, and I think that is quite fair.
Also I NEVER attack Ben first. He has an ability that buffs the entire team when he dies. - I agree with johnny. To summarize his point with mine, I'll just add that while playing and actually thinking and making choices on my team (instead of just listening to the fom trend) everything can be beat. So you thought that sid was going to make you op and blindly invested everything there, just to discover your teams weakness, is no reason to call nerf.
At one point i thought dooku was op, but overcame that. Then i thought offee was op and overcame that as well. When the sids started showing up, i was like w t f! Overcame it. Then i met old ben, and like the op, I thought this was broken! Overcame it... Now my challenges are actually with the little unknown toons, like the pilots! - Well said Johnny.
It's not Ben per se that's the toughest bit but the meta when he's paired with particular other toons.
I think I ran across the same Ben, Luke, Lumi, Bariss, Sid team, or another one like it.
My HK-47 suppressed Ben and my Lobot cleared the debuff when he finally got one off, it's about being flexible. I saw Ben In the match toon so chose to bring Lobot, he's not a regular on my teams but a specialist. The HK is a good tank with anti-jedi capabilities so I packed him, the rest of my squad was healers JC and Bariss and my Darth Maul for his crushing AOE attack and quick turnaround on his regular when it's a kill stroke when ability is pumped up.
Formal wear is nice but you don't wear it to the beach, just like there's no one size fits all A-team for every opposing team you face. - The same people that Spam this is OP and that is OP will be the *First* to rage quit because "They Nerfed my main and ruined my game".
I have had my problems with certain situations but never to the point where I could not come up with a counter for it. That is part of the game. - Old Ben? Not many in my bracket use him. I have him at 5* and don't use him at all. When I run into Ben he is always last I kill.
Leia on the other hand, her bug needs to be fixed ( yes I know ea knows about the bug ). A person in my bracket has qgj as leader for the speed buff with Leia and you pretty much lose someone before you even get to your second round of attacks.
