Old Republic Tags

Yes, this is very lazy from CG. On the other hand, if all the triumvirate count as OR, then Darth Revan would be a simple free giveaway as the real sith fans have them maxed already. Im pretty sure CG wants to make an immense money on Darth Revan.

At first, I thought they were only added members of the Old Republic under the tag, not just everyone alive during the OR era.

Then, they gave Fallen Bast the title, which breaks the trend, because at that point, she is no longer a member of the republic (unless something in the dark side route says otherwise. I never played the dark side route)

While I think HK deserves the tag because t3 has the tag, I can see reasons for not having it- HK a lot more independent than t3, so loyalty to master didn't mean loyalty to master's nation. Or, it could be a version of HK during Kotor days, while he served the Sith Empire. Or even the time in between when he was just wandering in space

I think that the OR tag is being used exclusively for potential party members in KOTOR. Which would mean that HK should get it eventually, but OR-era sith (other than DS Revan an Badstila) won’t get it.

The dev team have stated that the OR tag is not the time period but the organization. This organization wouldnt include many of the people from that time preiod.

They also said that HK and Visa may end up with the tag but have no plans at this time to do so.

They’ve said this, but it doesn’t pass the smell test. A significant number of toons with the OR tag were never affiliated with the actual Old Republic: namely Mission, Zaalbar, and Canderous. They were affiliated with Revan, the protagonist of KOTOR, but they were not themselves a part of the Old Republic.

No but a game based on a fantasy story with lightsabers, women flying through space, breathable air on every planet and bucket loads of other stuff all pass tests of common sense. Ok then.
